PDA – Or Should I Say FDA?
So we all know what public displays of affection are, however, with the rise of social media we have a new type; Facebook displays of affection. This topic entered my mind recently when a friend and her boyfriend were getting all pda on my display picture, which she was in. When I brought up to her that I would appreciate it if they kept their affection to themselves and off my wall, she became enraged. This is an issue that has been rising recently. Last week on the radio they were discussing things that make you un-friend
someone, and one of the reasons included statuses/posts to your significant other. I apologize if I offend anyone, but I feel that your relationship between you and your significant other is your business.
I do not think it is necessarily appropriate to be posting it all over Facebook and telling the whole world. My personal assumption is that if you’re in a long-term relationship, then you love each other. I feel this does not need to be put on Facebook for everyone to see. What if a potential employer checks out your Facebook page and sees your relationship all over the internet? I personally would not be interested in that. This is, however, my opinion. What does everyone else think about this topic?

I agree with Chelsea; couples should keep the romance off Facebook and other public sites. I feel that intimate conversations are between two people and others don’t need to know that you say I love you to one another every five minutes. I understand wanting everyone to know how much you love your significant other but, there are more appropriate ways to confess your love.
